Webinar: Unlocking the potential of hydrogen – Industry insights from hydrogen power plant concept creation

When: Sept 5th 2024 | Where: online

Hydrogen, known for its highly combustible nature, often raises concerns among the public. At Wärtsilä, we have dedicated two years to developing a hydrogen power plant concept. Using appropriate safety features like compatible materials with hydrogen, automation control, we have successfully created a hydrogen plant concept based on natural gas plants. This framework has the potential to incorporate safety advancements. But there are still areas of development that we are addressing.

Welcome to join this first WISE webinar where we dive into the topic of hydrogen power plants and hydrogen safety together with a panelists of experts.

Panelists:

Elina Huttunen-Saarivirta – VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd.
Vigdis Olden – Materials and Nanotechnology, SINTEF Industry
Katja Walsh, Project Manager Hydrogen Power Plant Concept, Wärtsilä
Martial Claudepierre, Hydrogen Power Plant Concept Owner, Wärtsilä
