Hydrogen, known for its highly combustible nature, often raises concerns among the public. At Wärtsilä, we have dedicated two years to developing a hydrogen power plant concept. Using appropriate safety features like compatible materials with hydrogen, automation control, we have successfully created a hydrogen plant concept based on natural gas plants. This framework has the potential to incorporate safety advancements. But there are still areas of development that we are addressing.
